Garden 34th Street: I Gave Up.

I euthanized my hot peppers last week. I just couldn't take it anymore. While they were fighting to survive--baby leaves were struggling to get through--the stupid aphids just wouldn't go away. There were a few days in which I thought I'd won, but alas, on closer inspection (see above), I hadn't.

So, they went down the garbage chute.

Yes, I'm sad. But they weren't as happy as they had been, and at least it's spring...I can start over.

I'll miss you, my little peppers. Here's to fighting the good fight...
